84 Vehicles Undergo Emissions Testing at West Jakarta Mayor`s Office

As many as 84 four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles participated in emissions tests conducted by the Environmental Sub-agency at West Jakarta Mayor's Office. Of the 84 vehicles, three failed.

Head of West Jakarta Environmental Sub-agency, Aldi Jensen said this emission test targets official vehicles and private vehicles of civil servants in the West Jakarta City Administration Government Office.

"This activity is an effort to make the Jakarta Blue Sky program a success, by reducing exhaust emissions and reducing air pollution from motor vehicles," he said.

Of the 84 vehicles that underwent emissions testing, 51 were gasoline-powered four-wheelers, 14 were diesel-powered four-wheelers, and 19 were two-wheelers.

"As a result, one gasoline and diesel fueled car and one motorbike were declared to have failed the emissions test," he added.

For vehicles that do not pass the emissions test, he recommends that maintenance be carried out so that they can meet the emissions standards.

"For vehicle owners who do not pass, please pay attention to the results of this emissions test and immediately carry out maintenance," he appealed.
